Im going with my uncle hog hunting and im taking my 12 gauge .... im using a 3'' 00 buckshot should that work on a 100-200 lbs hog at around 15-40 yds at the most??? If not what will?

well if i were you a would use 3" slugs they work good at any distance and pack a bigger punch.

i have no experience hunting wild hogs...i've grown up workind with domestic hogs

at 15yds id feel ok with 00buck. at 40...I would have a slug or not shoot at all

Slugs would be better, as for buckshot. If its in an vital area then it'll work as well but i'd personaly go with slugs.
