Never been, cant hunt them here in Oklahoma. I think it would be kinda fun. Theres one on this property i hunt on the river. Hes come well within bow range about 3 times, then i chased him one night down a tree line, but never found him.

My uncle killed a big lion a few years back with his bow. It charged him. He got lucky and hit it in the spine. I think it would be fun, but you sure wouldn't catch me out there with a bow!! I would at least take my .270 and that would only be if I felt pretty lucky. I would prebably take a 7mag or something of the sort. BB

You may, but I need something bigger that i know will knock it a$$ over tea kettle. I wouldn't want to try to be a finesse hunter if a big tom mountain lion got angry. Would you? JMHO. BB

i don't won't to end up like them bikers in the mountions......the lion attacked one and killed one....you better believe what will be on me....either a 12 guage shotgun or 243,.270,30-06,flashlight that will last a long time, and my rambo bowie knife.....i believe that will do the job....

Amen. I don't want to be undergunned. The 12 guage slug sounds like a pretty good option to me. My 1300 pump with 5 shot capacity and an elephant couldn't get ahold of me. BB

No reason to be skeered of them when you shoot a semi-auto .30-06, with 180 grain ballistic tips coming out of it. These bullets do a LOT of damage!

But no, we can't hunt them here, and [8D] to all you guys in TN that got snow, we didn't get anything except sunshine up here in VA's Shenandoah Valley!
