You can't hunt Mountain Lions out here, however, you can kill one only in self defense but even then, you have to have some really great proof that you did so in self-defense. If not you can get fined and possible jail time. At least last i heard around here.

You can use dogs yeah. I wouldn't use just any regular dog that has no idea what kind of damage a lion in danger will do. I know there is books on training for something like that.

I have had more than one encounter with cougars...all I can say is the next time I want to be armed!

they've seen some around where i hunt but i aint that afraid of em
i always have my knife with me and usually a gun and if that son of a gun tries to jump on me i'll let him have it right in the eye
