Default High Powered Rifles For Small Game

Has anyone on this forum ever hunted small game such as grouse or squrrels with any high powered guns such as .300 win mag or a .30-06.

My personal favorite was when i shot a grouse with my .300 win mag at 6 yards..

Does anyone else have stories such as this???

To me, that's not hunting, that's killing.

I am not a killer, I'm a hunter. If I shoot something I intend to eat it.

I grew out of the phase of shooting tweety birds because I realized that I was in fact taking a life.

The term overkill comes to mind. I like to hunt grouse and birds but I like hunting them with a dog and a shot gun. I woudnt waste the 30-06 shells on squirrells, just shoot them with a .22 or some low caliber gun.

MOOSEHUNTER21, That is not only a statement against posting rules but does not portray what hunting actually is and/ or what true hunters are about.....Please think prior to posting in the future. Thank you in advance..
