Default Fire cleared the food plot. (Pics)

About 2-3 weeks ago my hunting spot was burnt and fortunately it burned really good and hot. Look at what it did to this cottonwood stump. It's about 5 feet deep and 4 feet across. Even though it saved me time with cleaning out the stumps and underbrush, I still have a lot of dirt work to do.

How does the burn affect the PH, and soil quality? Ash is covered thick, everywhere.

It's hard to get a feel for what I'm looking at. Can you post more pictures?

They're pictures that were taken looking down into stump of a cottonwood. All the holes are where the roots were at. It's about 5 feet deep and 4 feet across. They're the only pics I have right now.

ks, Prescibed burning is done alot by wildlife agencies to help bring on regrowth of new plants and to improve the understory. Even though this wasn't a fire done for this purpose, it will do nothing but improve this area. Once you have cleared out your food plot area, do a simple soil test. You can purchase a meter, or take soil samples, and take them to your local coop extensions for soil test determinations. Good Luck.....
