too dangerous to feed them here??
i live in a very tiny little town that's along the allegheny river in the valley of two mountains. i live along a road that the speed limit is 35 mph in the front of my house. about 200 yards behind my house is another road, it is a backroad and the speed limit is 25..... i was wondering if you guys thought it would be unethical to feed the deer in my yeard. i see them feeding in my yard late at night anyways. i'm just concerned that i will be luring them across the road hence contributing to vehicle accidents. what do you think??

Deer generally have to cross roads at one point or another. If you have cover that the deer can habitate it would be better, as would a treed route to your property. Unless you're in an island in the road there shouldn't be much problem. Most of the deer road kills in my area are in the fall near the rut rather than when deer are foraging.
