Default What is the green up?

I heard you guys talk about the green up period. Could someone explain a little on what this is?

Jeff is right. The phrase is mostly used by spring turkey hunters.

It also refers the the spurt in antler growth because of the increase in nutritent available to the animal from the greening of the vegetation.
