I no its to late to plant here in NY this year .
Looking for something that works , grows and draws deer in for next year .
I,m giving serious thought of trying to plant beans ,
I here many guys say how the deer luv them ???
Anyone no what kind or brand is best or better than others ??
Also any tips on planting them is appriciated ....

They love them, that's for sure. Variety isn't that important, though some are more browse tolerant than others. The best advice I could give is don't waste your time planting small fields of beans. Around here, anything smaller than 3 acres would be wiped out in no time. 5 acres is a better minimum.

They can be, but I wouldn't bother. Not much can compete as far as attractiveness to deer. Not to mention beans need planted a little deeper than a lot of other smaller seeds, which usually means planting twice.

From my personal experiance, bean are amazingly attractive. It is crazy how many deer and deer tracks I see in my 120 acre bean field. We plant beans commercialy and they love it. I know there is also forage soybeans that are made for more leaf production opposed to our pod production. All I can say for sure is that they are amazing for deer, no doubt!
