If you have a 4 wheeler and a broadcaster get out and spread 300lbs per acre of palletized lime as soon as possible. Lime is far more important than fertilizer when you are starting. Lime takes time to work so the sooner the better.

Buy yourself one ,they are great for planting also. Get one with a plastic hopper on two good sized wheels.Mine holds about 250 lbs .They cost around 200 dollars at tractor supply.

When planting small seeds like clover or turnips,I buy 200lbs of pelletized lime and carefully mix the seeds with the lime in your hopper,then with the gate set very low go over your plot as many times as it take to evenly spread the lime seed mixture.Try not to use a fertilizer seed mixture because the fertilizer cold burn the young seedlings.

u say to add lime in with my seed...... after i find out bout my soil an how much lime i need to add. do i jus spread it on top the ground.. disc it in.... spray the weeds first then lime an disc.. is my order right on page one?
