RE: Replanting trees after clearcutting??
Here the logging out fits would pay you to cut your land for you. As they would sell all the wood out. Be it a paper mill, fire wood, or chipped up for hog fuel. These logging outfits make money off them, I find it very surprizing that you are paying them anything at all. You should of asked around more if there is any other loggers around. Here they also saw the pulpwoodinto lumber as well. If theaspen is taken shortly after it has been cut at eight foot lenghts it can make some pretty good lumber at that. I also believe if you could plant some softwood on about 4 acres ( in the middle ) and harwoods like the oakand perhaps a few apple trees to boot. You would have some very nice deer hunting area coming up.

I'd also love to know what you think of $2 per ton pulpwood? The paper mill is 27 miles away and I'm just trying to figure out how I'm getting screwed by the logger. I have 39 acres that I'm getting cut.
