Food Plot Fences & Seeding
We've recently occupied a new lease in west central Oklahoma. Although it may be a little late for this season, it has become painfully obvious that we must put in food plots to attract and hold more deer on the property. Our intent is to make 1/2 to 1 acre plots but must fence them to keepthe cows out. I would appreciate any input as to whether to use electric or barbed wire fencing and any experiences you may have had. We would also appreciate input as to what plants or seed mix that the members of this group would suggest. Thanks for any help you can offer. Grizz

I've had good luck with the clover blend from Big Rack Trophy Products. It's a small, but great business that really provides quality deer products. Check out the website

I am also in the same predicament with fencing in one area to keep out cattle. If you put in barbed fenced you'll probably have to go with at least 3 strand.
