what do you eat and how do you carry it?
I'm just wondering what some of y'all take to eat when you're going to be in the stand all day. It seems like every dang thing I want to take is in some kind of crinkly plastic package that alerts every man, woman, child and animal in a two square mile area. Tell me what you browse on and how you carry it.

I carry a mixture of granola, dried fruit, and nuts called GORP by backpackers (some people render this as Good Old Raisins and Peanuts -- even though there is no mention therein for the cereal component which is the dominant element). This is stored in a zip-lock bag. I don't think that opening and closing this zip-lock bag creates much racket.

I take apples, 2-3 sandwitchs in tupperware containers ( verry little sound and not crushed ) and water in a Camel back.

I usually don't eat that much when i am out hunting or even fishing for that matter. I always take a bottle of water along with me and if i plan on stayin over in the stand i cook up some bannock and pack a few chunks in my bag.

All day cereal bars or granola, PBJ sandie and always a good jug of water. Like mentioned if you remove your snacks from the shiny/foil type packages and just place them in a ziploc or container that will help minimize your noise.

It depends somewhat on the temperature .
During warmer wether I don't generally carry much more than a couple of energy bars and a 20 ouncer of plain water .
During colder temps I pack two peanut butter and apricot preserves sandwiches , two energy bars , apples , and spiced cider . I don't worry about crinkling wrappers , they'll wind you long before they hear you unwrapping a Tiger Barâ„¢ .
