tree stand setup
bow season opens september 21 here. I found a good spot a few weeks ago squirrel hunting. I jumped a deer that morning and there are some good trails on that ridge. should I set my stand up this weekend or stay out of there and take my stand in opening morning? What would you do?

RE: tree stand setup
Put it up now unless,
1. It is a self-climber
2. Dependent upon what value you have on your stand, if it has much chance of getting ripped off or any chance of getting ripped off, your choice there.

RE: tree stand setup
I am going to put my stand up (ladder stand) a week early but I don't leave my Summits ever! I like leaving the ladder stand there because sometimes I get off work late and like having a spot to run in and hunt quickly. If you are using a climber I would just wait until opening day.
GOOD LUCK!
