Topped with a good scope and practice it should be a nice rifle. Limited cartridge selection probably. It mainly comes down to getting the bullet in a killing area.

RE: 270wsm for deer
I just asked my father about the 270 wsm the other day and he said he has been told
that that most WSM burn up the barrel pretty quick. I will have to research this more.

amazing deer caliber , has all the power needed to get a deer , shoots farther and flatter then a normal 270.
My dad used it to take his largest buck to date this past rifle season , a PA 8 Pt , cant figure out how to put up some pics of it tho.

I’m looking forward to using my new 270 wsm for this years hunt. In all the article I read before buying my rifle this is the first time I here that the wsm is a barrel burner. I guess anything is possible.

It would be as good as a 270 Winchester and it doesn;t get any better than that for deer. A deer would never know the difference between the standard 270 and the new WSM I may try one because I am between 270's right now. Don't expect to see much difference in performance between the two. In the real world the difference is nil.
