RE: So What Do You Consider A Trophy ?
It PURELY depends upon, and is up too, each hunter individually.
After 20 years of huntin em and with God's grace and blessing I have taken 2 P&Y 8ptrs with my bow (dont ask about the 9 and 10s I have gotten crazy with while a bow was in my hands) so for me a bowkill minimum would be a 135" 10+ ptr or a 130"+ 8ptr.
For muzzleloader and gun kills I have been blessed as well. My largest deer with a rifle was a 154" 14ptr. For firearms I wait on a 140" 8 ptr (a BIG 8 when you get down too it) and anything with 10 or more points is safe unless its over 150".
But I was just as excited for an old high school buddy of mine this past rifle season when I put him in a stand of mine in MO and he took his first buck, a 125" 8ptr. As I kill bigger deer and catch bigger fish I find myself often getting more enjoyment out of or thinking more about leading others like my children and family/friends too trophies of their own. I guess its just "the next stage" that I am passing into. But I thank God for being there and being able to share it with them. If its a trophy for you then its a trophy for me!!!
Good luck too EVERYONE out there and I hope whatever is BIG too you will walk by this fall and your arrow/bullets will fly true!

To me the "trophy" is the memories you make around the camp fire with old hunting friends and companions with whom you have shared the memories with. I have killed spike buck whitetails and nice elk and remember their hunts the same.
