Buck pics team 7
Last night there was a stiff north wind so I decided to my black powder and go to the south side of a corn field where there had been heavy deer trafic . I bow hunt this place so I know there were at the least 4 shooter bucks that had manage to avoid myshooting lanes and range all season long.
This deer I have only seen once 2 weeks ago I was bow hunting and he came out in this corn field only to skirt me at 45 yards tempting but it was windy and quartering to me just slightly so I passed.
It was geting toward end of shooting hours when a glassed down to the far north end of the fied and seen a buck turn his head and I seen just a flash of horns in the brush.
SO I new he woldnt come out to the field till after hours so I climb out of my stand and and stalked the edge to the other end .
There is a low spot in the corn field that is where he was I didnt see him till he busted. I was looking in the brush with my scope when he ran. So I pulled my Night to my shoulder and swung threw him at about 100yards he was quartering to me running down the hill to the brush once I saw front shoulder in the scope I shot. The 44- 240 grain Horndy HP/XTP 50 cal. bullet with 90grians of pyrodex went in front of the left shoulder and just behind the right shoulder. He ran 20 yards and piled up.
I just have taped the inside spread its 22 1/2 inches wide.
