Default Hunting & wind

I've always tried to hunt deer so I'm downwind. But I've seen people say deer walk with the wind in their face. If that's so then chances are if I'm downwind from a deer its walking away from me, but if I'm upwind and its walking towards me it might smell me when it gets closer(I use scent blocker but that's not 100% effective). Kind of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" thing isn't it???

Deer don't always go into the wind ,they travel there usal pathes for the most part. I agree scent blocker is not 100 percent efective , just do your best and use a natural cover scent . I use black walnut hulls that are black, just don't get them on your hands or camo .
