Default My 2004 Whitetail

I took this buck at 9:30 this morning which is opening day for the Saskatchewan whitetail rifle season. I was hoping for a much bigger buck but I haven't had much time this year for hunting with work taking up all of my weekends and everything. He presented a perfect broadside shot at about 75 yards and I couldn't pass it up. With all the CWD hunting going on in my zone, I wasn't sure how many bucks I would find that hadn't been chased around already. Here are a few picks that I took. The batteries in the camera went dead after 4 shots so this is the best that I have:

I was using a Remington Model 7600 pump chambered in .270. There aren't to many trees in my area of the country. No shortage of bucks though. This guys was chasing around does with 5 other bucks. One was a bit bigger but he wasn't cooperating.

That is just in your area, my zone has been open since the end of September. Don't mean to be a knob but i thought i should clear that up so folks don't think i have been poaching the last few months. enuff said..... Congrats on that deer though he has some real nice height to him.
