Default B&C Scoring question?

Do you score an odd numbered amount of antlers as typical or non typical? (ex. 7pts 9 pts, etc. etc.) Also, if you score it as a typical does it deduct the "extra" points inches?

Thanks,
LAHUNTER

Lahunter, any point 1" or larger counts in the B&C scoring system. You measure all points (G measurements) to have a right and left side total the difference is deducted to come up with a typical net B&C score. Odd number of typical antler points are scored as typical and yes they will result in deductions!

FYI, Non Typical is Abnormal growth of tines non-typical in location (ie: originating from a point or from the bottom or sides of the main beam or extra points beyond the normal pattern of points.)

Go to the B&C home page and follow the instructions. All you have to do is fill in the blanks with measurements that they describe in detail and the computor adds and subtracts and gives the final score.

Thanks for ya'lls input.

7mmskeeter,
So if you score a 9pt as a typical, that extra tine would cancel out itself in the deductions. Is that right? Essentially, you have an 8 pt net inches and 9 pt gross inches.

I'm coming up with a better system for scoring. B&C is a big scam!

i really dont care about the b&c scoring system too much. a trophy is still a trophy regardless of how many b&c points. i shot a buck last year that gross 180 but only scored 167 because of perfectly symmetric split brow tines and the resulting 10 points in deductions.

Use this to score your bucks. Just plug the numbers in and it does all the math for you.
