171 Official B&C Deer Killed ( 19 Pts )
This deer was killed at my grandparents ranch in Central Texas ( San Saba County )
Its funny cause the guy ( left , one who killed ) is the FFA teacher at my highschool. My granfather is on the right.

I was also going to say the same thing a few of you already did...it would nice if he had more mass for me also. I expected to see this big old thick lookin rack and that ones kind of spindly lookin to me. Don't get me wrong, if it's 171...it's 171. But give me an old, nasty, thick and dark lookin rack from up north here anyday.

LOL, some of you guys crack me up with all of those little remarks, anything to take away from a big buck especially if its a Texan
Anyway Fireblade545, congrats on that nice buck. Thats a great buck for San Saba county, I'm sure ya'll are proud that your ranch produced a buck like that. There have been ALOT of huge bucks taken so far this year from s. Texas especially (look at the post titled "some BIG texas bucks"). My friend shot a 180" buck the other evening, I'm still waiting for him to get the film developed. Once again congrats to the hunter and your grandfather.

Excellent deer! Even better for the area your in.
They are probably thinking the same thing I am, wishing they were hunting a monster buck here in the Lone Star State. Do I detect a hint of jealosy from you Yankees?
All kidding aside, taking a deer like that is cause for celebration. The fact that it was a home-grown deer adds even more to the trophy.
