Georgia Rut

Does anyone know when the rut begins in East Central Georgia? i just bought some land in Waynesboro and i need some help with the rut.

Going buy the map in G.O.N -Mid to late nov in the east? I am in west ga and there saying to what i already beleive is mid nov. good luck

mid to late november... But the prerut was last weekend with that cold snap. It really got the deer moving. we harvested a 7pt and a huge doe last weekend early in the morning because of the temp and the moon.

One wildlife researcher defines the peak rut at the second full moon after the autmnal equinox (the official first day of Fall on the astronomical calendar). There was a cool research article for the Deer&DeerHunting magazine. It was a project some 30 years in the making. It had some cool info on all this.
