Will deer eat pecans FOLLOW-UP (PART 2)
I posted a question about a month ago asking if deer will eat pecans. Well I have been scouting the pecan and acorn spot since then and I went out to day to scout because I plan on hunting there in the morning.
I found lots of pecans and acorns on the ground and TONS of tracks. But the BEST thing I noticed was a tree rub that was HUGE. There was also 2 big scrape's around the tree. I am SO FREAKING EXCITED !!! I can't wait to go out tomorrow morning and climb up in my stand. The tree he scraped was pretty good size and he did some MAJOR damage to the tree. I guess he is a mature buck... you would have to see the tree to believe it.
Should I put some Doe pee in the scrape's tomorrow morning before I climb into my stand ???

Deer eat walnuts, pecans, acorns, peanut butter.....apples, corn, carrots.....they love all of these treats....
Regular doe for cover scent or in the scrape would be perfect. Doe in estrous will probably be too early, depending on if your deer are in rut yet, ours aren't here in Ohio.
