Depends on how you define hunting. I'm 37 and went with my dad a few times to hunt camps and sat with him on stand and watched when I was younger, maybe 8. But stalked and killed songbirds and squirrels with my BB gun since about that time too. Did some trapping in my early teens. Didn't start carrying my own gun until about 14. So officially 23 years, 11 years bowhunting, a little less blackpowder hunting.

Hi,
I'm 51 . Because of college, the military and raising children I have only hunted for about 10 years.
I mostly shot squirrels and rabbits as a teen. For 5 of my hunting years, I hunted deer. In those 5 years I've killed 3 deer and 1 hog.

I just turned 38 yesterday and have been hunting deer for six years this coming season. The first year was bow only, then I started using an inline muzzle loader after that as well. This year I got a H&R Ultra slug gun to try out. I've hunted small game and varmint off and on all my life, but nothing too serious. Been shooting in one form or another since I was about 8 years old, just never had a big desire to hunt big game until recently.

Im 24, been shooting since I can remember but never done any true hunting. I do a lot of varmint shooting every June in South Dakota, never took a trophy prairie dog though, 50 gr. vmax doesnt leave much for the taxedermist to work with. Im going to give hunting a try this winter, using a M1A w/10x bushnell and undecided factory load as of now. I really want to bag an elk but dont know where to start for preparation and planning besides this forum. Ill settle for deer if its too late for elk though.
