RE: How many use a lure
The best new product on the market is CodeBlue. I have never used it, but it is just like the "natural deer pee" except it is right when the buck tries to mount the doe, and the doe stands. I have no clue how they can separte them, but if it works. I DONT CARE HOW THEY DO IT. I'll be brining some into the woods next fall.

I have used Trails End and it seems to work best in the early part of bow season. I then switch to Tinks 69 around the end of Oct. until 3 weeks into November. I use a drag rag and I wear Elimitrax to cover my ground scent. One afternoon I had 7 bucks...no does come directly to my stand and finally one nice, big eight pt. had a date with my arrow. It was exciting say the least.

Once the rut fires up I use trails end candles.
I have tried others with decent results. Once I tried these candles I was hooked. These things work great.
For the money you cant beat them.

i have tried alot of scents over the years. James Valley seemed to work more times than not. The wallhanger scent has been effective for me. Anyone use synthetic scent...hawgs or whatever its called? I use their scent eliminator and it seems to work but I haven't tried the scents...just wondered if it works.

I use lure....
doe in estrous
regular doe
dominant buck
Last year a friend from Canada, not to mention any names...but...trapperG....told me he used two drag lines, two drag rags, when he went in the woods at times.
One had doe in estrous on it...One had regular doe...
Great idea....I'm gonna try it again this year.

hey sunset i think you misunderstood me i was using doe in estrous and dominant buck lol the idea was to trail in the doe in estrous on a shorter drag then use the dominant buck on a longer drag to make it appear that another buck was trailing a doe hopefully the lure on the rag was gonna be an inferior buck to the buck that might pick up the scents and it might draw him in searching for the lesser buck
