Bug Spray
Do any of you have any knowledgeg to whether bug spray has any affects on deer? With all the stuff about West Nile, I am using bug spray more than ever. I used to never wear deet during hunting season, but I am thinking about it this year.

I was always skeptical about sprays too. I will never go out into the field with shorts or short-sleeves. Also I use a camo full head net. My biggest concern are them damn little skeeters the size of jumbo jets, hovering by my ears. The net gives me 100% confidence to just sit still without swatting them away. It did take a little getting used to hearing them buzzing right by my ears though.

I use OFF DEEPWOODS and it doesnt bother the deer at all , i had several bucks in close like 10 - 15 yards while using it in the early season , i even had a fox stay around me at about 30 yards for a god 20 minutes with it , so it must not bother them too bad!!!

I'm with hunter9022, no stinking bugs spray works great and I've had deer all over me, downwind and all, and didn't get caught. It's a great cover and bug spray, a little expensive but good stuf..

I'll second Pharaoh2's comments about the head net. I've been bear hunting up in Ontario when the skeeters were as big as sparrows and having that head net on kept me from waving my hand in front of my face and creating a lot of unwanted movement while in the stand.

Did somebody say my name??? Um must be hearing things
The no stinking bugs spray works. However now Muskol and Deep Woods off offer a no scent variety, easily available and much cheaper (up here anyway). While these sprays have a minor intial scent they didn't effect my bear, deer or elk hunting last year.
