It seems like alot of people dont think too fondly of the 710 and to really be honest I cant see why ive heard they have a sloppy trigger and a crappy bolt but I think that mine has a great trigger its nice and crisp ,and ive never had any problems with the bolt but this is also my first and only large caliber rifle so i cant really compare it to anything but i love mine for the price i paid i was thinkin bout gettin another one in a 30-06 or 300 and just wonderin how many have actually bought the rifle and shot it or just heard somethin bad from someone and shyed away from it?

Shotgun stalker,
My shoots fine. It's not the best gun in the cabinet but I use it in the rain and to have one to throw in the truck. To my knowledge they only make it in 30-06 and .270 calibers.

Not even Hardly. Browning is only a name. They make a fine firearm but I wouldn't say the best. Is a Browning "A Bolt" better then a 710? Well DUH. That would not even be a fair match up. Now put that "A Bolt" against a 700 Sendaro. The Browning don't stand a chance.

Would the 710 be a good gun for a 13 year old? Yea, It would. I think it would stand up to the beating and weather that a young hunter will put it through. I don't think he's going to take it out on the 1000 meter comp. range and walk away with first place. But as a first gun, it will get him use to the feel of the action and the sence of recoil. Maybe later, when he gets a little older and wants something better, he will opt for a 700 or "A Bolt".

im guessing you own a browning... you see i hunt with a rem. 1100 and that would be the reason why i like remington sooo much... im guessin you have the same reasons as me... unless u own one of both(remington and browning)

In my opinion Remington is the best "hunting" gun because all of them are as rugged as you would ever need take for example an 870 ive known people that have backed over there 870 with a truck and picked it up and shot it and gone about there business. I also think that any gun company makes good guns but like for some one in my financial class a remington is hard to beat for the price if youve got a lil extra cash hell go on and buy a benelli or somethin real expensive but i have 3 remington guns outta 7 and 2 of those are rugers and there just as great and the other 2 is a 357 tauras and a SKS. and all of my guns shoot great. So for a hunting gun a real "hunting gun" get something that you can afford what ever it might be.
