My next rifle will definately be a 260 rem. I'm waiting to see what Remington is going to chamber the 2004 classic in and i've heard hints that it might be the 260 but thats just hear say. If they do i'll have one but if not i still want a 260 but i don't know which gun i''ll buy.

I started originally with a 30-30 Winchester, then upgraded to a 30-30 Marlin lever-action. Nice brush guns, but terrible after 125 yards or so. I bought a Weatherby 30-06 three years ago and have since taken 3 bucks (1 per year) with one shot each. All but one, was out 150 yards or more. I don't expect to get anything again for a while.

I already have a Winchester 94 so I will be looking for something with longer reach. I'm leaning toward the NEF handi-rifle in either 270 or 30-06. The wife also wants a gun for herself so she can start going with me and I'm going to have to buy one for my son this year too. I'll stick them with one of the smaller calibers like 243, 260, or 7-08. NEFs are the only way I'll be able to afford to buy so many guns in one year.

My Browning BAR in 7mm Mag has done a excellent job so far, but I cant help but want one of the WSM or WSSM! So my next rifle will probably be a Browning A-Bolt in the 7mm WSM.

My next gun will be a Thompson/Contender in .17 Remington with a 15" bull barrel. I've killed a few does with my buddies and I love it! That's a mean little dude the .17!

MYKEY. The Remington Classic for 2004 is going to be the 8x57 mauser. Just saw it on the Remington site or Guns and Ammo.

James...thanks for the update, i had my fingers crossed but thats the way it goes. I've been looking for a Remington chambered in 260 like the one they use to make. I don't want a Model 7 or the Titanium. I found one in the mountain rifle but i'm not crazy about the pencil barrel on that one. I'm gonna keep looking for a couple of months and if i can't locate one it looks like i may be the first time owner of a Ruger.
