Default hunting as a old man

I am young and have alot energy. Being out in the woods all day. Hanging stands and scouting I do tend to get a little tried. I was wondering for you old guys. You just dont have the energy to do everything. How do you do it?

Who you calling old, deerhunter????!!!!!!

For me, it's not so much getting older as it is getting fatter! Or is that just getting older?

Just drug a 150# buck out of the woods last week about 300 yards to the truck. I stopped A LOT along the way (and my wife was helping me drag it too!)

Well lets see, To start with some of us old guys don't have that pesky thing called work to contend with. And when it comes to the work of hunting ,and there is some hard work to it You do have to pace yourself. The secret to it is to except that in some cases you need a little help and you just do one thing at a time. Time is something I do have plenty of. I try to shoot my big game in the morning so I have the whole day to get it drug out and skinned and quartered up and stuff. Got to just relax and realize you need to take it easy. My wife does help me a lot in my older years. However she now expects me to cook and do dishes. I got them all done for today already.

See while us young guys dont know alot of where to hunt & how to hunt & make it right, old timers do. They dont have to walk as much as us to find a deer spot. They know what to hunt, how to hunt it & when to hunt it. Not saying younger hunters dont just saying we cant as well as the older hunters.

It's just takes getting used to the idea that it now takes all day to do what you used to do all day (or night)
