RE: First Time for Son
This weekend will be my 12 year olds first deer hunt. I also have a doghouse pop-up and last week we set up three mock scrapes/drippers. Saturday is the state youth deer hunt, which means that the kids are allowed to use what ever type of weapon they are licensed for. David has his muzzleloader permit and this is the first possible day to use firearms in the state. It is still bow season for the next week.
Getting everything ready and can' t wait, hope we see something!

RE: First Time for Son
Thanks to all of you out there for your support and best wishes.
My son will have a 30.30 lever action and I will be the one to loads it, only after we are set up. I did invest in a pop up blind, I know that he can not be real still and I figured it was the only way for him to have a chance for a sucessful hunt. We will be hunting in central Al. this weekend, the weather forecast is clear and warm, low 55 with a high of 75. I don' t expect the deer to move much. Just being in the woods and watching animals and nature interact around us will be just great. Thanks again for the responces.
