Default SENIOR DOE HUNT/Pa.

I went to my sons on Thursday,it is about 120 miles south west of me.I got there about 10 am and we went to the range. We had to make sure that the inlines my grandson and his dad were going touse were zeroed in.
We then, around 2 pm,went to the mountains. All i had was my huntig coat, a cold weather garment type. It was 75 degrees !! All i could take was 2 hours of the heat and i gave up???
Now,Friday mourning it was 41 degrees and my kind of weather.By the time it got light my hands were a little cold, but,i was happy!!!
I sat for a while, after it got light but then i got antsy. I wondered back towards where we parked. It is State Game lands, this area. There are mowded strips od weeds about 50 yards wide and i don't know how long,i never got to the end of one of them???
I walked down one of them and turned up another one. Just taking my time and thinking how pretty it was out. I had a walkie-talkie in my shirt pocket, turned on. It crackled and i hear "Hey dad,we are behind you This thing scared me,blasting out of the quiet and peacefulness!!!!
I turned to see them. They were about 3/8 of a mile behind me! Out of no where, a deer walks out of the woods onto the strip i was standing on. It never seen me? I dropped my walkie and knelled down and i could not shoot because it was inline with my other hunters. I waited and it finally got out were i could shoot with out taking a chance of hitting some one. It was well over 100 yards, but it just dropped after i shot. This was the easyest drag out i ever had to do????? I had my grandson drag it,but it was level and on grass.
Any ways,i sure have a good time when i go with them even if i see nothing.

Good read, and congrats on the deer. It's always good to get to hunt with family.
