Default Hunting with scents!!

This will be my 2nd season firearms hunting in WVA, Hardy Co to be exact. Last year, I passed up an ok doe on the opening day and didnt see any more the entire time I was down there.
My question to every one here is this: I am contemplating trying deer scents (doe urine, Tinks # 69, Code Blue, ect), I would like to know what would be the easiest way to use them so as I cant screw it up and what kind of scent in everyones opinion, is the " best of the best" Any and all replys are much appreaciated. Thanks, and goodluck!!

Well let me ask you a question and then i will hopefully be able to help you, is this land public land or private, and does it have alot of hunting pressure?

The land I will be hunting on is my own, so it' s not public. As far as the hunting pressure, I would say light to moderate.

You might want to stick with food scents to attract does , the bucks will follow them .

I like to use code blue. Just be sure you get the right one for the part of season your hunting. I also make mock scrapes and put tarsal gel on them. Ihave a dvd that i must have watched 30 times already. it' s called Bowhunting University. It covers scents, decoys, scouting, etc. in detail. It' s an excellent movie.
