Deer Droppings?
I found the droppings shown below on my land. A huge clump that does not look like bear. Also, found a huge track nearby - bigger than any other I have seen on my land. Perhaps just passing through, but I can hope.

Not always, the pellets are formed in the intestional tract, they are already pellets in the colon before they are expelled. If a deer eats something that gives them a loose stool and pellets do not form, when it comes out there will be no pellets. This isn't worth arguing over and if you don't believe it so be it, I know what I have seen many times and I know it was deer droppings.

What you talkin about Willis, LOL?! Haven't you ever seen big clumps of deer poop like that when they've been eating lots of fresh green vegetation or don't they poop like that out in CA, LOL?! They sure do everywhere else and their stool can vary just like us humans depending on what we eat!

Yup, more than likely Deer droppings and more than likely from a older deer. Sometimes the older a deer gets, and according to what it is feeding on, the bowels tend to not pelletize as with other normal operation (for lack of a better word). If you found that track close by and no other tracks, it tends to reason that it's deer droppings. Since I think you just took the pic today and I believe you got the rain we did yesterday here in IL then it could also be that the "pile" was deformed a little bit by rain. But tracks would be evident no matter what left them.
