I hunted from a stand I had put up in September, but hadn't hunted in until that day. It was situated along a scrape line, and near a corner of an overgrown field that I knew deer were coming out from. The stand I had been using wasn't seeing as much traffic as it had been earlier in the season. Before good light, I had five deer move from the south and west into the field. About 8, a young buck came out of the field corner and headed north through the woods. 10 minutes later, my buck came out. I got my gun up, grunted to stop him and took my shot.
