RE: DEMANDING RESPECT as a deer hunter.....
hntngirl: Thanks: the 8 point buck I shot with an Arrow was in awwww from your sweet voice. He had no idea what hit him till it was too late.
Sweetwater: You have to earn Respect....no one gives it to you and you can not demand it..You can however demand that they respect your opinion. Everyone has that right.... I do not thing that the Animals in the woods respect you intruding upon there home. They live there we do not. so respect nature as it is and be gratefull that you are allowed to be there with it.

Cardeer where are thou, running naked to your stand?
What a great thread.
My ritual is fairly quite going to the stand and full of respect for nature, you know a little cursing when a branch hits me in the eye or when I trip. then sometimes mother nature calls on the way in, so I sit and bugle awhile. Other than that, I practice total silence.
After the kill is a different story, first a little prayer of thanks and then a few tarzan yells and chest beatings to let the other hunters know who the mightiest of hunters is. The tarzan yells also help attract other hunters that might help me drag my deer out. Yep, I demand respect.[8D]

My vols are terrible, trophyhunter. We got the talent, we just can' t get it together. I think the main difference between Georgia and Tennessee is the quarter back. You got a darn good one and we got a hippie from california that' s slower than me.
Since we' re out of the way, I hope Georgia wins it all. good luck.
