Default My 11yo Boy Gets Buck!!!

Opening day of PA archery season. Got busted by a big 10 pointer at 5:50 but patience got him his buck. A nice 4-pointer. He blood trailed it all by himself. (I'm color blind )

Thanks. Yesterday was opening day. We still have guys with buck tags so that 10-pointer isn't in the clear yet.

I also have a doe tag that I usually give my son so we'll be spending a few more days in the field.

Kinda P.O.ed at myself that we spooked that 10, though. Gonna be real tough getting him now.

HooRah !!

I remember my first buck like it was yesterday. This young man has passed that big milestone. Now he stands around the fire with one under his belt, not as a green kid.

This was actually his 4th whitetail. That little sucker got his first buck at 7 years old. I couldn't even hunt until I was 12.
