RE: THE RUT IN EAST TEXAS
my guess its like the rest of texas......varies from county to county. I dont hunt in east texas anymore but in central texas on our farm the rut is first week of november normally...45 miles away on another property we hunt they rut after thankgiving. A guy on my website that hunts in south texas says his rut is last week of October....still some places are late december. Sorry I couldnt give you a positive answer but truth is...there isnt one. If you know when you start seeing newborn fawns, subtract 6 months from that. ie: mid-May drop = mid november rut. good luck

RE: THE RUT IN EAST TEXAS
where in east TX are you hunting.
I hunt just north of Livingston and last year the rut peaked the last week of October. You know, that week between Bow and gun season when no one can hunt, and hunting is at it' s best.
but I think the others are correct, just depends on where you hunt.

Many will tell you that the East Tex rut peaks during the first to second week of November. My bow hunting experience tells me that the ET rut is at its peak during the last week of October though!

Hey crc, I live in Pritchett right off 155.
Not sure exactly when it is here myself. Check with friends from there and see what their experience is. According to the TPWD it is Nov 22. In the southern part of East Texas it is the 12th.
