why don' t you count the brow tines ??
I am not sure if i can answer that ? very well

I am a westerner been here all my life and a pop is a pop be it coke or pepsi
on a muley i have always scored them by the upper points (above the main shaft and after the initial split or fork) a typical being a 4x4 or 4 point wich in actuality would be in most cases a 10 point if scored on the eastern system if you include the brow tines (this being on muleys only)
on elk it is the number of points per side
on whitetail i have always scored them as total points both sides brow tines included

Wait a second Indiana isn' t in the south and we call pepsi and coke soda. We add our points, any and all of them we can find, including brow tines

Some mule deer and some blacktail deer don' t have brow tines is the reason I believe we don' t count them . the double browtine is the exception rather than the rule .

What the heck is a " pop" ? Sounds like the noise that a toy gun makes. Here in PA we call it soda. And who drinks Pepsi anyway? Coke is the way to go.

You mean there are places that do not count brow tines? That is unusual and the first I have heard of it. That is sort of like not counting the main beams as a point, don' t ya think?

Oh c' mon Frank....you know what a pop is. When you let loose the string on your bow.....that loud noise is a pop![]

But around here pop is something you drink or something you do to a drunken idiot that won' t shut is mouth. Pop him in the nose!!

But the brow tine thing still throws me. I am counting every little point I can!!
