Now wait a second. I thought a 4x4 was like a sport utility or pickup truck. You mean they have deer that can go through snow, ice and rainy weather just as good?

8 pointer it is....

I still think it is a regional thing. Down south we call a Pepsi a ' soda' and up north they call it a ' pop' . I did drive my 4x4 to my hunting spot two days ago and shot a nice 8 point. lol

It isnt an American/Canadian thing, it' s an American/American/Canadian thing... We in Washington call them 4x4s, or just 4 points... We dont need to add them all up just to make the deer seem bigger. [:-] And YES, we can count, and NO it' s not that we' re lazy... I know you would joke if I hadnt said it.

Calling it an 8 point makes it sound bigger to some people.Myself and the people I hunt with call antlers by approximate B&C score which gives you an accurate idea of what kind of deer you are talking about. The term 8 point could refer to a young deer with small antlers that have 8 points in total or to a mature trophy buck.
