I relax and enjoy the hunt. I won' t do anything (reading, listening to music, playing video games, etc...) that I feel would distract me from the hunt.

like others, i just watch squirells etc..Im always bending my neck and turning to look behind me-most of my hunting is ont he ground. I had 2 deer almost run me over when another hunter drove them through to me, it was ont he moose hunt though, the same day I seen a nice bull but had no tag![:@] If I get really bored, I like to stare at one spot and space out for awhile, thats only on the really long, cold hunts though!

I get my gear situated perfectly for when I' ll need it.
Guess the ranges of every prominent land mark in my vicinity and then use the range finder to verify it.
Glass every shadow, bush, hill side, field in my viewing area.
When I am sure there are no deer in my area at that moment I' ll practice drawing my bow and rehearsing shots at different ranges and targets.
Maybe make 1 or 2 very quiet grunts then wait 15 minutes motionless expecting a deer.
When I have made it through that routine it is usually about time to run through it again, keeps me very ready and I find the time goes by to quickly.

i pretend i have just been given a million dollars and i begin to determine what i would do with it.if i have been in the tree until noon,i make sure my safety belt is under my armpits and i doze off.
