The pics side by side, definitely put it in perspective. Its a big bobcat for sure....but doesn't look nearly what it did initially. Nice cat, good luck getting him

2robinhood...wow, nice cat he got there. That's a whopper too! And really nice markings...

Bobcat.

Obvious give away is the short, rather thin tail. Cougars and Lynx .... both are extremely rare in the deep south. Lynx have tufted ears. I do not see this feature on this cat.
