Watch me miss my #1 target buck
I missed my #1 target buck Saturday morning @ 6.50am.
I may have blown my only shot at this buck, since it was the rut the slipped him up.
He was on the trail of a hot doe.
I held the crossbow at aim for nearly ten minutes.
My arms were jelly and I was suffering from buck fever.
The doe triggered one of my trail cameras and it took the video.
I am 30 yards behind the buck and the doe is closest to the camera.
Turn up the volume, you will here me shoot.
Clean miss, 100% tree or branch.
He only ran 30 yards, stopped, and continued grunting and chasing the doe.
Here's the video.

I wouldn't count him out yet. My wife missed a nice little 7 ptr with a blackpowder gun one evening last year. The deer jumped around before finally deciding to head back the way he came. He came out the very next evening and I tagged him with my .30-06. Since you said he went back after the doe, it doesn't sound like he was so alarmed as to avoid the area.

He chased anther buck away before I shot.
I went back at noon and sat till 5:20pm.
They didn't return.
Sat Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon without seeing a deer.
The rut can bring good and bad.
I'll be out every morning before work.

Well first off, I feel your pain; who here doesn't? I hope you get another shot at him.
Thanks for posting the vids; I don't have any cams but am considering them since they seem like a great tool.
Good luck.
