All of them, but white oak acorns most (leaves with rounded tip,not pointe) because they are sweeter. And unlike red oak trees (which have leaves with poi9nted tips) they are produced every two years, white oak acorns are produced every year.
But, they will eat whichever falls first, in our area red oak acorns generally fall first, and white oak acorns dropped two weeks ago already.

thwey also seem to not like acorns with the worm hole in them, probably because they do nt lek the taste of the worm, or the worm has already eatern most of het m eat of the acorn.

The ingredient which makes acorns taste buitter is called tanin, amd in large amouts can be poisonous to humans if uncooked.

If you have any questins about der or deer hunting - feel free to ask me here o r e-mail me direct at [email protected]. I have 50 years of of hunting experience, 20 years of guiding experience, and 10 years of researching whitetails.

God bless,
