Talking Heading to upstate New York in the morning. Woo-hoo!!

I'm heading up to my sister & brother-in-law's farm up in upstate New York for a week or more of great deer hunting! Opening day is the 20th and I'm really excited (as if you can't tell!!)

I'm all packed up and ready to hit the road in the morning. At least my sister has a wireless router and DSL, so I'll bring my laptop and still be able to get on HNI, check email, etc...

Wish me luck!

Got here at about 5:15pm this afternoon. Ate some dinner, relaxed, and then hung out for a while. Then I helped my sister with her horses, and then my brother-in-law took me out in his 4x4 truck carefully through one of the back pastures. He joked, "You want to see deer, I'll show you some deer!".

One word: WOW!!!!

lots of deer in 7M this year. Lot of he bucks seem a bit bigger as well - early end to winter last spring helped get things off on the right foot.

good luck!

better get out early. It'll be too warm too hunt in the afternoon.

I have NEVER had sucess in the catskills at 50+ degree's.

They say the deer do not move around much.
