Has Anyone seen any substantial rut activity in the Fingerlakes Region of NY?

Down in the Bath area, i saw 2 buck and 3 doe through out the bow season, Nothing this last week. I think run has hit its peak.

Lots of activity the past week, 10 different bucks all but 2 chasing or running with does. Lots of scrapes although cams aren't picking up any activity on them recently, Rut is on in madison county, full boar.

I have been seeing many of the young bucks chasing since the opener, but this is no way indicitive of classic rut behaviour. The mature bucks have been around, but they have not had that crazed look in their eyes. Depending on which research you subscribe to, it could be as late as 21 November. I am located near Conesus lake area. Some years rut activity is more subtile than others. This year is looking like it is more protracted and never really reached a frenzied pace. I am not seeing mature Does and Bucks right now. My belief is that the premium dates were and almost always are 1 - 10 November.
Good luck and be safe out there. We just had a guy from the local area die from a fall out of a tree.

Down in Orange County, I just don't think it's been cold enough to sustain rut activity. Bucks still travelin together, then a token chase of a doe by the younger one, and he breaks off and couldn't care less. Now, this was a week and a half ago, and last weekend, only saw does hunting on Saturday only. Heading up to hunt Friday morning, then off to Port to go to the rifle camp, get primed up, throw some BS around, and tell everyone all the bucks I saw and didn't take a shot. Hopefully, have better luck during rifle.

I'm all ready and set to head up to central NY (7M area) to my sister & brother-in-law's farm! Leaving the 18th to have a day or two to relax, check the farm edges and wooded ridgetop. Then on opening day the 20th, both my brother-in-law and I will hopefully get a nice buck!

this rut has been crazy I have been seeing an average of 3 bucks per doe in this private chunk of land I hunt. Theres times Ill go out and only see bucks for a few days straight. Some scrap immature deer some nice mature deer. I had a doe come bed down 10 yards from me and had a nice 8 point come to tend to her put a shot on him but never recovered but to answer your question the rut this year has had me wanting to be sitting in that stand even in my sleep
