c davis....we were like the guys you explained...in our spot an hour before shooting light and out by 10am.....but we were always dragging something....and 2 miles is a heck of a drag....the most weve shot was 3 in one morning.....i was tagged out...dad only took a doe.....we went back and got his second doe that saturday....this year...im looking for a little bigger buck.....so im not touching my trigger until its on a nice buck or dads having trouble getting us some meat and i have to take a doe or the last few days of the season i will take my does if i still dont have a buck.....but i want a nice rack for the wall......im getting a pack and a nice seat and every day i go out im planning on sitting there as long as i have time wise.....all i know is dad has one heck of a spot and if he was patient and didnt drop does soon as he seen them hed probally take a nice buck year after year there....i still havent decided if i will hunt there with him or have him help me find a good spot like that one in the same general area but not beside him...about 1/2 mile closer to the truck is where i want to be.....he hasnt said if im allowed to hunt with him of if he wants his hard earned spot to himself.....eaither way i dont mind.....my friend can call my lucky all he wants....thats why im running out of room on my walls for my trophys....i cant wait for this year! every chance i get before season im driving 2 hrs to the spot to scout and do my homework.,..i want a nice rack for the wall......
