Hunter's Poem
Orange hue strung across the sky
shines across the morning due
with shaky limbs at the glance
I might just have a chance, if only,
him grunting and sniffing, but the hope dims
and with a lurch off he goes, in the spruce and pine
Never to be heard again by mankind
and yet another day in my tree stand!
shines across the morning due
with shaky limbs at the glance
I might just have a chance, if only,
him grunting and sniffing, but the hope dims
and with a lurch off he goes, in the spruce and pine
Never to be heard again by mankind
and yet another day in my tree stand!
