IMO rut activity starts a bit earlier in N. IL than S. IL. You can try to forecast, pick and choose the dates to a certain extent but nothing is going to stop the rain if Mother Nature wants to bring that.

ill agree with that, if this 10 is like 09. but u never know what the weather will bring. by the 18th you might be a little late.

Well I must have picked the right date range. Weather was good, deer were moving and I narrowed a 168 inch typical 9 point with 17 scoreable points on Nov 3rd. Estimated to be 6.5 years old. Dressed 252. Sending tooth out to get aged.
