Bucks are still together in Ohio, but...
Well I got off work really early today and decided to go out for a while (10-8-09). At first light I tickled the antlers and a buck stood right up out of the grass(140 Yards away) and came walking down the hill right at me. He came within 10 yards of my treestand but was a smaller 8 pointer 100 inch deer. He hung out for a few looking around and then walked off. 20 Minutes later I tickled the antlers together again and 3 other bucks come walking down the hill on the same trail that the 8 pointer came in on and they too came within 14 yards of my stand. They are still running together for the time being but I would say that by October 15th or 16th they will be running solo. After 30 min of watching the 3 small bucks, they walked off and I rattled again. Not 4 minutes after rattling, I had another 3 different bucks, all small again, come walking in about 21 yards out and looking around for where the noise had come from. They hung out with me for about 15 min and made there way up the hill and out of sight. At 9:30am I decided to call it a day and went home. Hope this might help those of you who hunt in Ohio, or same general area of Cincinnati Ohio or surrounding counties. Keep those antlers with you, they are responding to them. Good luck all!!
