I don' t have one, but a couple of friends use them all the time. It doesn' t take much to set them off, a piece of grass blowing or a vine moving that you had not noticed will empty your roll of film quickly. Butterflies and birds will trip them also.

If your' s has a sensitivity knob, you probably have it set to high, that is exactly what happened to me when I first bought it. I then started setting mine about half way bettween the highest setting and the lowest setting. in the summer, I set a little higher because of the warmer air temp. and i havent had a problem since. I have the Non Typical dc100. When I first got it it would take false pictures like you described. I sent it back to the company and they replaced the board. Now it works good and doesnt take false pictures even if facing east or west..
Check your sesistivity adjustment if it has one and try facing your camera to the north if possible. If this doesnt correct the problem then send it back to the company.
