I went out last weekend here in N.E. Illinois to hit some of the forest preserves. Saw about 50 deer, 2 I could were older bucks that had dropped. 3 hours and didn't find a one. I know there were some big bucks in the area and the snow had just melted that day so I was hoping to be the first one in. Looks like I was but still nothing. I'll give it a shot next weekend if the weather cooperates.

2 of my favorite shed hunting partners. My cousin's kid Scottie and my Yellow dog Timber.

My buddy and I spent the weekend on our property in SE. OH. and found 15 sheds, I came home last night and he stayed out today to hang a stand a cut shooting lanes and found to more, both 5 points to a side (different bucks) and both were P&Y class deer. I will post pics of those sheds when I get them. I found the sheds on the left side of the table and Chuck found the sheds on the right.

Here is a shed that I found after the group pics were taken.

Man am I jealous...I went out for my third hunt of the season this weekend. Found nothing... Saw three nice deer and got some great pictures as they let me get within ~25 yards of them and were not all that concerned with my presence.

I found one shed last year...while scouting during the fall. Love going out looking but find it really tough to find anything...I am looking on well traveled public land so probably just a matter of competition. I always have a good time anyway...good to learn where the deer are traveling..and just nice spending time in the field but would be cool to find a shed once in awhile.
